Slow Food Hunter Valley members are part of a large international, national and local network of people who are continually striving to improve our food systems and negate the impact of food industrialisation. Our local Slow Food community has over 50 members with a large list of “friends/volunteers” who also assist with projects, attend meetings and receive communications (by registering for our mailing list).
- Our members are committed to:
- saving food cultures
- maintaining biodiversity
- improving our food system to ensure a more equitable distribution of food
- reducing food waste, and
- at the same time, enjoying the pleasures of good, clean and fair food.
Become a member – or renew your existing membership – and become part of the Slow Food Hunter Valley community. We recommend new memberships and renewals are done through Slow Food International website (this is the most streamlined process). You will be asked to select the length of membership, complete a form and then be asked to select your Slow Food community. Please select NSW – Hunter Valley from the drop-down list.
If you would prefer to deal with our local Membership Officer, please call Ruth on 0402 264 395 or email her at membership@slowfoodhuntervalley.com.au.
As a member you will be asked to do as little or as much as you feel comfortable doing. You will meet people, have the opportunity to participate in projects and, through your volunter work, you will make a difference. But above all else, you will have fun!
