Maitland Heritage Fest

Slow Food Hunter Valley will be at the Maitland Heritage Fest at the Guide Hall in St Andrews Street, Central Maitland. We will be working in partnership with the Maitland Rutherford Guides to showcase the recently established and thriving native food garden that was established with a Community Environment Program Grant through Meryl Swanson’s office.

Take a guided tour through the garden to see the range species including many that would have been growing in the area before 1788 and admire the beautiful signage that has been made by the Maitland Wood Turners. Then enjoy a heritage bulboar sausage with a fresh coleslaw on locally made bread for lunch and a cup of tea.

See you at the Guide Hall in St Andrews Street, Central Maitland. Come and see what our Native Food Gardens initiative has produced so far.

For full details of the festival, go to the offical Maitland Heritage Fest website.
